The James L. Knight Sports Complex has served as the home facility for the University of Miami's volleyball program since 2001.
Dedicated on November 12, 1985, the Knight Sports Complex was made possible through a gift from the James L. Knight Charitable Trust. Knight was an avid supporter of the University of Miami and made several other contributions to Miami's school of architecture.
Located between the Isadore Hecht Athletic Center and Cobb Stadium, "The Knight" houses practice courts, locker rooms and coaching offices. "The Knight" was refurbished with a new permanent playing surface in the spring of 1994.
"The Knight" used to serve as the home court for most of the Hurricane women's basketball games where they won 24 consecutive home games from January 1, 1991 through December 18, 1992.
