Miami Men’s Tennis Releases 2018 Spring Slate

CORAL GABLES, Fla.  University of Miami head men’s tennis coach Aljosa Piric announced the team’s schedule for the upcoming 2018 spring season.
 
“We’re very excited about this year’s spring schedule,” Piric said. “We had a good fall season, but now we are looking forward to playing and competing as a team.”

The Hurricanes open the spring portion of their spring schedule on Jan. 19 with a trip to New Orleans, La., to take on Tulane, beginning at Noon.
 
Miami’s first home match of the spring campaign begins at 3 p.m. with the Hurricanes taking on Georgia Southern at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. 

The Hurricanes’ spring slate also features non-conference matchups against Mississippi State (Jan. 21, noon), Iowa (Feb. 4, 10 a.m.), FAU (Feb. 11, 11 a.m.), Bucknell (Feb. 11, 4 p.m.) and the College of Charleston (Feb. 23, 4 p.m.), William and Mary (March 11, 11 a.m.), Cleveland State (March 11, 4 p.m.), UCF (March 18, 1 p.m.), South Alabama (March 30, 3 p.m.) and Dayton (April 22, 5 p.m.).  
 
Miami opens ACC competition on March 2 at 5 p.m. on the road against Georgia Tech. The Hurricanes’ first league match at home will place Miami against Wake Forest on March 23 at 3 p.m.

The Hurricanes’ home slate also features meetings with NC State (March 25, Noon), Louisville (April 1, Noon), Duke (April 20, 3 p.m.) and North Carolina (April 22, Noon).
 
Miami’s trips to Clemson (March 4, 2:30 p.m.), Florida State (March 9, 5 p.m.), defending ACC Champion Virginia (April 6, 3 p.m.), Virginia Tech (April 8, noon), Notre Dame (April 13, 3:30 p.m.) and Boston College (April 15, 2 p.m.) highlight its league schedule on the road.

The ACC Championship will be held April 25-29 in Cary, N.C., while the NCAA Team Championship begins May 18-22 in Winston-Salem, N.C. The rest of NCAA singles championship is scheduled for May 23-28 in Winston-Salem, N.C.
