Bondar Earns ITA Scholar-Athlete Honor

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami junior Kevin Bondar has been honored as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete for the second straight season, the association announced today. 

Bondar, from Calabasas, Calif., is majoring in biology while enrolled in the Miami Honors Program in Medicine – a seven-year BS/MD program associated with the Miller School of Medicine. 

The president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), he has made the Provost’s Honor Roll (minimum 3.75 GPA) in all six of his collegiate semesters, as well as earned President’s Honor Roll (4.0) accolades five times. This spring the junior was tapped into a pair of elite campus honor societies, including the elite Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) National Leadership Society and Nu Kappa Tau Chapter of Mortar Board. 

Bondar was named CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 in 2017, is a three-time All-ACC Academic Team member and has been on the ACC Academic Honor Roll three times. 

On the court, Bondar won eight singles matches and a pair of doubles matches in his junior season.
