CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The No. 25/23 Miami men’s basketball team travels to Raleigh, N.C., Sunday to take on NC State in a noon ACC game at PNC Arena. The ACC Network has the broadcast, including WBFS My TV 33 in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area. WQAM 560-AM has the local radio broadcast, while the game also streams online through the WatchESPN app (subject to blackout) and on TheACC.com.
 
The Hurricanes (13-4, 2-3 ACC) last played on Monday, dropping an 83-75 home game to No. 5 Duke. Freshman Lonnie Walker IV led the team in scoring for the second straight game, scoring 19 points. Dewan Huell continued his strong season by recording his third double-double with 18 points and a career-high 13 rebounds.
 
Miami is 4-2 in true road games this year, matching the Hurricanes’ total number of road wins from the 2016-17 season. The Hurricanes are 7-3 away from home this season.
 
Miami is averaging 73.2 points per game while its defense is limiting opponents to 62.0 points per game and 38.3 percent shooting. The Canes also are limiting their foes to 30.0 percent shooting from 3-point range, which is second lowest in the ACC.
 
Dewan Huell leads Miami in scoring at 13.9 points per game and also is grabbing 6.9 rebounds per game. Bruce Brown Jr. is averaging 11.0 points per game as well as a team-high 7.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Chris Lykes is scoring 12.8 points per game in ACC play, second only to Huell (13.8).
 
Under first-year head coach Kevin Keatts, NC State (13-6, 3-3) has won three of its last four games and picked up a 72-63 win over Wake Forest Thursday night in Raleigh. The Wolfpack is averaging 80.8 points per game and giving up 72.1 per contest. Allerik Freeman leads the team in scoring at 13.8 points per game, while Torin Dorn is scoring 13.2 points per contest.
 
NC State holds a 12-10 edge in the all-time series and is 7-3 on its home court against the Hurricanes. Miami won both meetings last season, taking an 81-63 victory on New Year’s Eve in Coral Gables before earning an 84-79 triumph in Raleigh on Feb. 4.  Jim Larrañaga is 6-6 against NC State in his career, including a 6-5 mark at Miami.
 
Miami returns home Wednesday for an 8 p.m. game against Louisville at the Watsco Center. ESPN2 has the television broadcast.
