THE SERIES
The No. 50 Hurricanes (8-5, 0-3 ACC) and the Knights did not meet last season, ending a streak of 11 straight chapters of the in-state rivalry. Miami won the 2016 meeting in Coral Gables, 5-2, after winning five of the six singles matches. That victory improved Miami’s edge in the all-time series to 15-2.

HIGHLIGHTING MIAMI’S 2018 SEASON
-Freshman Pablo Aycart made his dual singles debut last weekend with a 6-3, 6-2, victory over Cleveland State’s Mirko Radosevic.

-Miami’s 6-2 start to the spring season was the Hurricanes’ best start since 2013.

-Miami freshmen have captured 23 singles wins this spring. Freshman Bojan Jankulovski has already reached double digits, bolstering a 10-3 record this spring.

-No. 99 senior Christian Langmo and freshman Adria Soriano (No. 99) both have singles victories over top-65 opponents this season. Jankulovski (No. 101) is the third Hurricane who has been ranked this season.

-The Hurricanes, who are 7-0 at home, have now posted a seven-match win streak in Coral Gables for the first time since 2014, when the Hurricanes won nine straight between Feb. 22 and March 25.

LAST TIME OUT
Miami had a day to remember last Sunday, sweeping its first doubleheader of the season by a margin of 12-0 – 5-0 against William & Mary and 7-0 against Cleveland State. The Hurricanes won 23 of the 25 sets they played on the day as Langmo, Jankulovski and redshirt sophomore Dane Dunlap earned doubles and singles victories in each of the duals.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
The Knights (6-6) are also coming into Sunday’s matchup on a two-match win streak, defeating Minnesota, 4-2, and Indiana, 4-0, earlier this week. UCF has played eight of their 12 matches at the National Campus, splitting them right in the middle. Miami will be the third nationally-ranked opponent the Knights meet this season after falling to No. 9 Florida in their spring opener and No. 8 Michigan a fortnight ago.
