CORAL GABLES, Fla. — In search of its fourth series win of the spring, the Miami Hurricanes host No. 24 Virginia from March 23-25 at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field in an ACC Coastal Division matchup.

Senior lefthander Jeb Bargfeldt (2-2, 3.09 ERA) will look to duplicate the magic from his last start against the Cavaliers at Davenport Field in Charlottesville, Va., in 2017.

Bargfeldt, an All-ACC second-team selection last year, tossed the only complete game of his Miami career in one of the most dominant performances as a Hurricane.

A team co-captain this year, Bargfeldt scattered three hits and one walk and surrendered just one run in a 5-1 victory in the first game of a doubleheader against Virginia.

Bargfeldt ranks sixth in the ACC with 32.0 innings pitched and 17th in ERA.

Sophomore righthander Evan McKendry (3-2, 2.54), who is tied for seventh in the ACC in ERA, will start Saturday’s “Bark in the Park” game.

McKendry’s average of 13.66 strikeouts-per-nine innings is the tops among all starting pitchers in the ACC; he ranks third in the ACC with 43 punchouts.

Junior righthander Andrew Cabezas (1-2, 3.79 ERA), who tossed six scoreless innings in the first start of his season last Sunday at Duke in an 8-2 win, will start the finale.

The start will be the fifth of Cabezas’ career; prior to last Sunday’s game against Duke, the last time Cabezas toed the rubber in a start was a June 2016 NCAA Coral Gables Super Regional game against Boston College that sent Miami to Omaha and the College World Series.
