Peter Amalbert is in his first year with the Miami Hurricanes baseball team, as a quality control analyst.
Amalbert manages the program’s data analytics efforts, utilizing multiple platforms and technologies to maximize the team’s performance and player development.
Prior to arriving at The U, he worked with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox and New York Mets organizations in player development.
A native of Puerto Rico, Amalbert is a member of Criollos de Caguas in the Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente. During his second season, Caguas won the league championship and represented Puerto Rico in the Caribbean Series in Miami. Amalbert assists Criollos with advanced scouting, compiling data on players around the league.
While earning his bachelor’s degree from UCF, he started the Knights’ baseball video and analytics department.
