CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Following a 15-day break, the University of Miami men’s basketball team returns to action at 7 p.m. Wednesday when it faces off with Houston Baptist at the Watsco Center. The game streams online via ACC Network Extra, which is available to authenticated users through ESPN3. The Canes’ radio broadcast airs on WQAM 560-AM and also streams online on HurricaneSports.com, Radio.com and the TuneIn app.

Things To Know
• Jim Larrañaga is coaching in his 250th game at UM.
• Miami is playing its first game in 15 days, its longest in-season break since an 18-day stretch from Feb. 26-March 16, 1962.
• UM is on its first four-game losing streak in eight seasons under Jim Larrañaga and the program’s first since a four-game stretch from Jan. 19-30, 2011.
• Miami is the only ACC team with five players averaging in double-figure scoring.
• Ebuka Izundu has scored 10 or more points in all but two games and ranks sixth in the ACC in rebounding at 8.8 per game.
• Chris Lykes is eighth in the ACC in scoring (16.9).
• Deng Gak will miss the rest of the season with a left-knee injury, suffered during the Yale game.
• Junior forward Dewan Hernandez has been withheld from competition thus far as the University and NCAA review his eligibility.
 
Miami (5-4) returns to play following the finals break after dropping its last four games, with three coming by four points or fewer. HBU (3-6) is playing its third game in five days.
 
Chris Lykes leads five Miami players who are averaging in double-figure scoring this season. The sophomore guard is averaging 16.9 ppg. Zach Johnson (13.7), DJ Vasiljevic (13.1), Anthony Lawrence (12.7) and Ebuka Izundu (12.0) also are averaging in double figures, while Miami is scoring 78.1 ppg this year. The Hurricanes are giving up 69.0 ppg.
 
HBU and Miami are squaring off for the first time. HBU is 3-6 this season after suffering an 85-61 defeat at Samford on Monday evening. The Huskies already own one road win over an ACC foe this season, a 93-91 overtime triumph on Nov. 23 at Wake Forest. HBU plays at a fast pace and averages 77.2 ppg this season. The Huskies allow 85.0 ppg. Ian DuBose leads the team in scoring (18.0) and rebounding (5.9) this year. He had 16 points and 13 rebounds Monday.
 
Miami returns to the Watsco Center Saturday for a 2 p.m. game with Florida Atlantic (7-3). The contest streams online on ESPN3.
