2018 NFL Draft Central

Six Miami Hurricanes were selected in the 2018 NFL Draft, which took place April 26-28 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The Cleveland Browns selected defensive lineman Chad Thomas in the third round (67th overall). Tight end Christopher Herndon (New York Jets, 107th overall) and running back Mark Walton (Cincinnati Bengals, 112th overall) went in the fourth round. The New York Giants selected defensive lineman RJ McIntosh in the fifth round with the 139th overall pick. Wide receiver Braxton Berrios went to the defending AFC Champion New England Patriots in the sixth round (210th overall), while defensive lineman Kendrick Norton was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round (242nd overall).

Notables: 

  • The Hurricanes have now had five or more players taken in the NFL Draft 26 times since 1980.
  • Miami has had 342 players (266 in the modern era) selected in the NFL or AFL Draft all time, a figure that leads the Atlantic Coast Conference.
  • For 44 consecutive years, the Hurricanes have had at least one player selected in the NFL Draft.
  • Miami leads the ACC in draft picks since 2000 with 110 selections. 
  • For the third time in program history (1990 & 2003), Miami has had at least three defensive linemen selected in one NFL Draft.
  • Since 2000, Miami has now had an NCAA-best 12 tight ends selected in the NFL Draft.
  • Braxton Berrios is the 42nd Miami wide receiver drafted in the common era (1967), the most in the NCAA.
