CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s golf team had three individuals selected to the 2018 Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic Team, as announced Thursday by the league office.

Junior Dewi Weber, sophomore Renate Grimstad and freshman Kristyna Frydlova were each chosen for the team.

Weber, who is majoring in communications and advertising and motion picture production, made her third straight appearance on the all-academic team. The Netherlands native finished with a 72.03 stroke average this season, which was the second-lowest single-season stroke average in program history – second only to her program-record mark of 71.94 from her sophomore season in 2016-17. Weber finished in the top 20 in nine of the 10 tournaments in which she competed in 2017-18, including four top-five finishes.

Frydlova, who is majoring in biochemistry, finished the 2017-18 season by competing in 27 rounds during her rookie campaign at Miami. In addition, the Czech Republic native posted a scoring average of 74.93.

To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic team, a student-athlete, regardless of classification, must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
