CAREER: Young defensive lineman who is seeing increased playing time…Was redshirted as a freshman in 2004, and then played in eight games in 2005…Tremendous all-around athlete who was considered the top prospect in Wisconsin as a high school senior in 2003…Has excellent agility, balance and strength…His quick hands help him shed blockers quickly, and he has a great upfield burst…Liberal arts major.

2005 (FRESHMAN): Backup defensive end who played in eight games…Tallied four tackles (all solo), with two tackles for loss, one sack for a 12-yard loss and one QB pressure…Played in his first game as a Hurricane vs. Colorado, seeing limited action in the fourth quarter…Played against South Florida and then notched his first sack vs. Duke, for a 12-yard loss…Saw limited action vs. Temple, North Carolina and Virginia Tech, then played much of the Wake Forest game, where he made three tackles, one tackle for loss and a QB pressure…Did not play against Georgia Tech and Virginia, then played as a reserve defensive lineman in the Peach Bowl against Louisiana State (no tackles).

2004 (REDSHIRT): A member of the Hurricanes’ scout team during his redshirt season…Underwent shoulder surgery on Sept. 20.
