2001 (SENIOR): Regarded by teammates and coaches as the best pure offensive lineman on Miami’s outstanding offensive line…set the tone in technique, attitude and work ethic for the nation’s finest offensive line…an outstanding guard who was overshadowed by Miami’s excellent tackles, but was just as deserving of accolades…a first-team All-BIG EAST selection by the league’s head coaches…a second-team All-America selection by ABC Sports Online…was a first-team mid-season All-American by ABC Sports Online…never allowed a quarterback sack in his college career (47 games)…started 41 games at Miami, including the last 37 consecutively…rated the top guard in college football by several NFL Draft ratings systems for the upcoming 2002 NFL Draft…paced a Miami offense that wais the nation’s most balanced, averaging 454.8 yards per game (eighth in the nation) and 43.2 points per game (3rd nationally)…keyed an offense that averaged 5.3 yards per rushing attempt and scored 25 rushing touchdowns in the regular season…earned Offensive MVP honors by the coaching staff four times in 2001 for his performances against Penn State, West Virginia, Washington and Virginia Tech…mainstay of an offensive line that allowed just three quarterback sacks in the regular season…was rated the top guard in college football by The Sporting News preseason preview…was a first-team preseason All-American by The Sporting News…a very physical player with good size and strength whose value has been overlooked…has excellent quickness and flexibility for his size which helps with pass protection and his strong lower body strength gives him good explosion off the ball to help with run blocking.

2000 (JUNIOR): Started every game at right guard…was a major factor in a resurgent offensive line that became a force for the Hurricanes…a valuable contributor in an offensive line that allowed an amazingly low three quarterback sacks in 340 passing plays…helped pave the way for a 1,006-yard rushing season by tailback James Jackson, only the fifth time a Miami back has rushed for 1,000 yards in a season…part of an offensive line that enabled the offense to rack up a school-record 469 points and average a BIG EAST-best 460.8 yards total offense per game…produced a dominating performance in Miami’s Nokia Sugar Bowl victory over Florida.

1999 (SOPHOMORE): Started all 12 games for the Hurricanes at the right guard position on the offensive line…helped anchor a Miami line that only allowed 20 sacks all season, while averaging more than 400 yards per contest…paved the way for the Hurricanes to average over 170 yards per game on the ground…was one of the team leaders in pancakes and Metrorails (blocking opponent for at least five seconds).

1998 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in every game, starting four contests…started the first three games of his college career at right guard (East Tennessee State, Cincinnati, Virginia Tech)…also started the Pittsburgh game at right guard in place of an injured Damond Neely…provided reserve help behind Neely at the right guard spot…participated in a season-high 50 plays against Virginia Tech…teamed with right tackle Joaquin Gonzalez to become the first pair of freshmen to start on the Miami offensive line in 20 seasons.

1997 (REDSHIRT): Spent the season as a member of the scout team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Crestwood in Mountaintop, Pennsylvania…Prep Star first-team All-American…excellent athlete who excelled on the offensive and defensive lines…tallied 105 tackles (38 solos), seven quarterback sacks and three fumble recoveries as a defensive tackle during his senior season…amassed 78 tackles (38 solos) and three sacks during his junior campaign…coached by Jim McGovern.
