CAREER: Talented long-range kicker who has helped theHurricanes as a kickoff man and a reserve placekicker…handled thekickoff job for much of 2003, sharing time with Brian Monroe in thatrole…was the primary backup on field goals and conversion kicks in2003…candidate for a master’s in business administration.

 

2004 (JUNIOR): Played in the first two games handling kickoffs…Kicked twoextra points in the second half of a 48-0 victory over Louisiana Tech…Did notplay in the final 10 games, though he dressed for every game.

 

2003 (SOPHOMORE): Stepped into the role as Miami’s primarykickoff kicker during the last half of the season…had good distanceand hang time on his kickoffs…kicked two point-after conversions,one at Louisiana Tech and one against Temple…made a tackle on akickoff against Pittsburgh.

 

2002 (FRESHMAN): Played in three games…missed an extrapoint against Connecticut…made a 56-yard field goal in a preseasonscrimmage…continued to develop his range and accuracy…suitedup for all 13 games.

 

2001 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season with a redshirtyear…suited up for all 12 games of Miami’s national championshipseason, but did not see action…practiced with the team duringspring drills after enrolling at UM in January, 2001…originally signedwith Miami in February, 2000, but deferred enrollment until the2001 spring semester.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: St. Thomas Aquinas…regarded as the state’s topkicker after the 1999 season…named Class 4A-5A-6A All-BrowardCounty First-Team Offense by the Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel andMiami Herald as a senior…first-team All-State selection for Class 4Ain 1999…member of the Broward County All-Star team…namedsecond-team All-County as a junior…as a senior, connected on 22of 26 field goals with a long of 49 yards…also converted 53 of 56PAT kicks…timed at 4.8 in the 40…also recorded touchbacks on 60percent of his kickoffs…over career was 29-35 on field goals and96-100 on extra points…had game winning field goals againstMacArthur (31-28) in the 1999 regular season and state-power-houseBradenton Southeast (23-20) in the Class 4A state semifi-nals…provided the difference in a 38-35 win over PensacolaEscambia in the Class 4A State Championship…assisted team to theClass 4A State Championship as a senior…four-year letterman forvarsity soccer team that won state and national championships in1997 and 1998…George F.
