AT MIAMI: Gifted athlete who switched back to receiver late in 2002 following an injury to flanker Kevin Beard… prior to that, he had successfully transitioned to tailback in 2002 after two seasons at split end… one of the team’s most dangerous all-purpose threats.

2002 (JUNIOR): Played the last two games at flanker after spending the balance of the season as the primary backup at tailback… caught one pass for 19 yards at Syracuse in his first game back at flanker… rushed for 398 yards on 68 carries (5.9 ypc) and scored three rushing touchdowns at tailback… caught seven passes for 99 yards and two touchdowns on the season… had a career-long run of 62 yards against Florida A&M… made an immediate impact at tailback after moving to the position in the summer… rushed five times for seven yards and caught a pass for five yards at Tennessee… averaged 34.5 yards on two kickoff returns at Rutgers, including a 44-yarder… scored the game-tying touchdown in the win over Florida State on an 11-yard run with 5:17 remaining… rushed only three times for 21 yards against FSU, but averaged 22 yards on three kickoff returns (66 yards)… gained 86 yards on only nine carries against Connecticut… rushed five times for 16 yards against Boston College… caught a pass for 14 yards against Temple, but was held to minus-four yards rushing on five attempts by the Owls… rushed for 72 yards on 13 carries and caught two passes for 37 yards, both for touchdowns, in the 41-16 win over Florida… had 165 all-purpose yards against the Gators, including 56 yards on three kickoff returns… his scoring catches against the Gators came from 19 and 18 yards… rushed for 199 yards on 22 carries and scored two touchdowns in the season opener against Florida A&M… that total ranks sixth all-time for rushing yards in a game at Miami.

2001 (SOPHOMORE): Played in 10 games, seeing extensive time as a reserve, but also played in some multi-receiver sets with the starting unit… emerged as a key reserve as the season progressed… made his first catch as a Hurricane in the season opener at Penn State, a 30-yard reception that was his only catch of the game and his longest of the season… had two catches for 22 yards against Troy State… caught two passes for 26 yards against Florida State… also had catches against Rutgers, West Virginia, Temple and Washington… played in nine games and finished the season with nine receptions for 112 yards and one touchdown… his 13-yard catch against Washington was his first touchdown reception as a Hurricane, coming from reserve quarterback Derrick Crudup… played in the Rose Bowl victory over Nebraska, making a key downfield block on a touchdown run by tailback Clinton Portis in the second quarter.

2000 (FRESHMAN): Played in nine games in a reserve role at tailback and receiver and was a key member of the special teams… rushed for 122 yards on 18 carries, getting the ball in three games (vs. Rutgers, vs. Pittsburgh and vs. Boston College)… had a season-high 73 yards on seven carries against Rutgers, including a 58-yard run… scored a touchdown against Rutgers, the first of his collegiate career… carried five times for 19 yards against Pittsburgh… rushed for 30 yards on six carries against Boston College… had a 21-yard run against BC.
