Megan Whalen is new to the U, joining the department in October of 2023.
Currently she works as a Learning Specialist and Tutor Coordinator, engaging with an assigned population of student-athletes to promote academic eligibility.
Prior to joining the University of Miami, Megan worked at the University of Central Florida. There, she served as an Academic Advisor in the College of Health Professions and Sciences. Previously, she worked within UCF’s Athletic Department as a student mentor/learning assistant.
She received her Bachelor’s in Human Communication in 2020 and her Master’s in Career and Technical Education in 2022. Continuing her education, she has completed two graduate certificates: Academic Advising and Student-Athlete Support Services; she is in pursuit of a graduate certificate in Special Education.
